Airbus Beluga Aircraft Lands at YYT

Quiet an unusual aircraft has touched down at St. John’s International.

The Airbus Beluga Aircraft touched down at YYT just before 11 am

It’s traveling from France to Florida carrying Inmarsat’s newest satellite to the Kennedy Space Center for launch.

The stopover in St. John’s is so the massive plane can refuel before making the rest of the trip.

The Beluga attracted aviation enthusiasts to the airport eager to catch a glimpse of the aircraft.

One such onlooker was young Chloe, whose goal is to be a pilot some day. She explains why she wanted to head out to see the plane.

She says it is one of the biggest and rarest planes in the world, with only five in existence.
