“That’s when the suspect pushed the victim and got on top of her and attempted to sexually assault her on the ground,” LASD Sgt. Jose Ramos said to FOX 11.
Police say when the girl’s mother heard her screaming, she began screaming as well which was when three males were able to enter the bathroom and pin the suspect down on the bathroom floor until officers arrived.
“The screams were just terrifying,” a witness told FOX 11.
“She was actually screaming saying ‘Help, Help! I need help. My daughter’s in the bathroom with a guy.’”
The victim went to hospital for treatment and police believe there may be more victims.
The unnamed suspect reportedly has a lengthy criminal record and was out on parole before he was arrested for attempted sexual assault at the Norwalk Sheriff’s Station.
